DZ’S facestudy murals are currently up in private residences and commercial spaces in NYC.
facestudy is a celebration. The abstract design pulls inspiration from the many diverse faces of the world, intertwining similarities and difference in a linear community dreamscape.
the facestudy curtain mural was first exhibited at Frampton Co.’s Exhibition The Barn in the summer of 2021.
The curtain mural was a durational project in which DZ painted 200 yards of curtain in just 24 hours.
She followed up this premier with a site-specific dance performance with her company Mass Yell in the space, and using the painted curtain.
facestudy is also featured in homes around the NYC area.
